02.SQL Installations prior Wonderware Installation

There are multiple ways to install Microsoft SQL Server editions. Several aspects of the Wonderware installation requires Microsoft SQL Server Express or higher versions to be able to store the galaxy repository and/or historian when Wonderware System Platform is used. We have been through multiple installations with Wonderware and we summarized several installation procedures from Microsoft SQL Server editions from old to new. We are learning and updating these documents day by day based on the ongoing software roadmaps from Wonderware, including the software roadmaps from Microsoft SQL Editions and based on real life experience and case studies. We also like to learn from our community if other settings are known as one of the best practices so we can enhance our documents and/or help the community to update these documents accordingly to the community needs.
