This document describes the Database & Transaction log Backup and Restore Procedure on a system.

The reason of sharing this procedure is that multiple customers till date have several old legacy Microsoft SQL Server versions in their premises with this feature and when an update is required.

There are several ways to upgrade from an old legacy Microsoft SQL Server version but the best-case scenario to keep the configuration safe, is to install a new Microsoft SQL Server and follow this migration procedure while the older system is running in parallel.
